This is Elijah at Grandma Starks house playing on the Nintendo Thanksgiving day 2007. Every time we go to visit the Starks my boys are in the basement playing games almost the entire time we are there, it is all I can do to get them to come upstairs and eat dinner. They love to hang out with their uncle Matt and James.

Varsity Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Moroni!!!
We were invited to the Mt. Nebo District Recognition Banquet for Scouting because "one" of us was going to receive an award. They had great dinner, great entertainment, and a really long awards ceremony.

This was the write up in the program:
The Varsity Coach of the Year is a great example of being reliable. He encourages each boy to be the best that he can be. He is a good friend to each boy of the team. He loves being in the outdoors especially with his boys. They do a wide variety of physical activities during every season of the year. Through the activities and his leadership the boys are fulfilling the aims of the Scouting program. His team is one of the most dynamic in the Mt. Nebo District. This year's recipient is Moroni Pickering from the Santaquin 4th ward.

Brothers

Moroni and his younger brother Matt have birthdays two days apart, so we got together last Sunday to celebrate both birthdays (17 and 29). Now that Matt and James are teens they are starting to look more like Moroni.

Bath time

I love pictures of my babies in the bath tub!! Even thought they will probably hate me for taking them when they are teenagers. Sarah's smile in this picture is so funny, you can see her crazy teeth on the bottom. She got 4 molars before the teeth in the front and you can actually see it if you look close.

Valentine flowers, pretty girls, and crazy kids

On thursday I got a wonderful early valentines day surprise, Moroni had sent me flowers. Arent they beautiful.

Valentines day was a blast, Mom, Grandma B, Denali, Jody, Katie, and I took all the cousins to Jumping Jacks. Meili was the only one who didn't come (she must be getting to old to do stuff with all those young cousins:) She got to go watch Romeo and Juliet with her parents. The kids had so much fun jumping and running for over 2 hours straight. While the parents got to sit around talking and relaxing, well Jody didn't relax I think he was having as much fun as the kids.

Later that night Moroni took me out for dinner at Wingers and then we went shopping at my favorite store in the mall (Victoria's Secret).

Classic Skating for Valentines

Today the kids got to go to a Valentines party at classic skating with a homeschool group. Man did that bring back a lot of memories. I haven't been there since I was like 16. I used to go all the time with my best friend Melissa. We used to have a blast!!!
Crysania had a lot of fun skating and Bowen even braved it out on the rink for a while, but Elijah wouldn't go out he just kind of skated with me on the carpet for a while and then decided that he had had enough. All the families brought snacks to share and he just hung around the snack table most of the time. Then everyone got out their valentines boxes and cards and they got to exchange valentines. Overall we had a really good time and on the way home Elijah said "That was the best party ever!!"

Crysaniaism

The other day I was talking to the kids about playing soccer, trying to decide if I wanted to sign them up. So I asked Crysania if she wanted to play, this was our conversation

Me: Do you want to play soccer?
Crysania: Do I get to win a trophy?
M: I don't think they do trophys for soccer at your age
C: Oh.......Where did dad get his trophys from?
M: Debate
C: Whats that?
M: Well you get up in front of judges and talk with another person and try to get them to do what you want them to do
C: I could do that!!!!! That sounds like fun!

So apparently we have a future debater on our hands who only wants to do it to win a Trophy!!!

And just so you know she decided not to play soccer, so we signed her up for dance instead. Both of the boys decided they wanted to try soccer.

Weight loss

I really need to loose some weight. My goal is to loose 30 lbs hopefully by the end of summer, so we can go on vacation to California. Anyway I have been walking and running everyday for at least 30 min, but I have not been able to control my eating very well, I eat way too much crap. I have heard about the Acai Berry for a while now and just found out about a diet where you use the Acai berry and this colon cleanser stuff and it is supposed to work pretty good. I was wondering if any of you have used these or know anyone who has. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Dress up

I watched my sisters kids last weekend and got some fun pictures of them playing dress up.

Crysania got a jewelry making kit for christmas and she has been spending a lot of time making bracelets for all her friends. She even gave one to me, she must love me :)
